- Is Working / Living in Foreign Country Beneficial to you? Why?

Yes it is beneficial to me because it is financially rewarding and by this, I could send my kids to good schools , provide them with the necessary things they need , put food on our table and still have extra to help my parents , siblings and other relatives.

- Do you want to permanently settle abroad? Why?

I do not want to permanently settle abroad. I and my family have been given this chance a oouple of years ago to reside in the USA but we turned it down. I still believe in my home country and that is where I intend to grow old / reap the fruits of my labor and die.

- Do you think our country's economy is getting better because of OFWs? Why?

I think it is getting a little bit better and I strongly believe that the OFWs play a big part in our economy - with all the remittances they send back home, which in turn give their families and relatives money to spend and propel the economy.

- Are You Worried About the Brain Drain that our country is facing at this time? Why?

Yes I am worried because it will affect the quality of future generation of Filipinos.....but it is the right of every citizen to find a betterjob and better salary for himself, which, sadly, our government still cannot provide at this point in time.

- Can You give some tips or advise to others who may wish to work abroad too? Specially on places that you've worked for?

Train hard, equip themselves with the necessary information about the country where they will go and try to upgrade themselves while working abroad so that you will stay competitive throughout the duration of your stay in a foreign country.

- If you'll be given a post to serve OFWs, what could be your plans to protect or serve the Filipino Workers Worldwide?

First, I plan to abolish the POEA and the OWWA and established a common agency that will help our OFWs. I will make sure that the agency will be highly computerized and is linked up with every country where there are OFWs.

I will link up with the DFA and CB to upgrade our passports - have it modernized - it reflects on our country and the people as a whole.

OFWs should not be posted longterm on their jobs. Their contract shouldspecify a home leave every 6 months - this will help alleviate the loneliness that some of our OFWs experience specially with countries that are considered hardship postings.

We would need competent and highly trusted individuals to run a sub agency to administer tests requirements prior to sending our people abroad. The individuals chosen will be highly paid and should be immediately fired if proven to be corrupt.
