Putting Your Eggs Into One Basket

Im a micro work believer. When I ay that, what I mean is that things done slowly and carefully brings better results. Pinoys are accustomed to the manyana habit. Ibig sabihin nun, mamaya na habit. Things that can be done now will be done later, anyway… there is still time. Lots of it! And of course we get these things done! Yun nga lang, rush at walang ka quality quality. That is usually the result of things done without care or in a rush or not concentrated.

When we were still in school! Don’t you remember how we procrastinate and just cram when a quiz is just around the corner? Or a project or an essay that needed time to be worked on yet we fail to do it coz we think there is still time.

Micro work! Dahan dahan pero may resulta! Hindi minadali kaya na perfect. Guys, there is no short cut to business. Meron kasabihan… “NAG MADALI AKO, KAYA AKO NATAGALAN”.

One of my favorite universal lesson is “everything beautifully done or performed always takes time to prepare”. Sa car magic, madali mag pintura… ang matagal…preparation. Ganun din ang mga songs na 3 to 5 minutes… it takes days, weeks even years to compose them. A concert that is at least 2 hours takes months of preparation. Much more with movies! I believe you’re getting what I mean.

What im trying to say is we want so much to be accomplish that we become so busy bodies and end up not accomplishing good at all! Micro my friend micro.

Not all opportunities you will get! Someone gives you a chance to sell this, another to market that. Then another this and that. Im not saying you cant do it or you should not get into any of those but rather select one only and put your full commitment, energy and dedication into it. IT WILL BRING BETTER RESULTS!

“whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might”

Instead of being so busy with 3 businesses yet not getting or maximizing the best of it, focus on one and give your all! Put your eggs into one basket! This will yield you more and better results.

Allow me to illustrate. When you clean a house, isn’t better to concentrate on one room at a time rather than kaunting punas ditto, a little ligpit dun… you will accomplish more in micro working. tutok muna sa isa.

In marketing your business, wouldn’t it be much better to talk with quality to 3 people than a thousand na
wala naming effect?

In boxing? What’s the use of 1,000 soft jabs compared to one solid hook?!

Nakipag barilan ka… ang dami mong putok…puro naman daplis. Isa lang pero sa ulo… nagiging violent na ata ako ah…

But im hoping that you get my point. So drop whatever you are doing that keeps you from doing what you do best and maximize.

I have a friend who wanted to learn music this summer. So he enrolled at guitar, drum and piano lessons at the same time. Eto, patapos na summer…walang natutunan. Eh kung tumutok nalang sa isa…baka may nangyari pa!
